We will be creating custom portrait art for you and our goal is to create portraits that are unique pieces of art that you can love for years to come. As you begin to plan, keep in mind that the more you plan, the better the end result. We have some important tips on how to prepare below. Remember, planning can make a BIG difference in how amazing your portraits look. Trust us…

Plan Your Outfits

Please do not underestimate the power of clothing. Your clothing choices are possibly the most important factor in determining the overall style of your portraits. Please bring at least a couple extra outfits so that we can help you decide. We do have some tips and tricks to help you.

Think Variety in - Styles - Colors - Textures - You'll want cloths that fully express your personality... Shorts - Long Pants - Skirts - Dresses - Tanks - T-Shirts - Long Sleeves - Short Sleeves - Polos - Sweaters - Jackets

Important! Try on the outfits. Be critical of the way they fit and make you feel. Not only do you want your outfits to make you look great….you also want them to make you FEEL great! The more confident you are about the way you look and feel, the more fun you’ll have. As long as you love your outfits, we’ll find or create the backgrounds and poses to make you look great!

Classic

Be sure to bring at least one classic outfit... This does not mean it has to be boring! Just go for a look that is timeless, so mom can have something beautiful for home that won't be outdated in a year or two.

Accessorize

Accessorize..........those details such as socks, shoes, jewelry, hats, scarves, sunglasses, belts, boots, jackets, hair flowers, etc. can make all the difference. A little bling adds a lot!!

Mood Boards

Yes, we want your dream shoot visualized and placed on a board if you have the time, lets try everything possible to make it come to life. Our ultimate goal is always to make images that are special to you!

Using a Pinterest board you can easily piece together your vision. We want to know what you're imagining. It's your shoot, let's make it feel like you.

Athletes

Bring your gear! These are the things that define who you are….sports equipment & uniforms, musical instraments including drums, guitars, keyboards, trophies & medals, letterman jackets, collections such as purses & shoes, skateboards, snow boards, skis, motorcycles, cars, trucks, jeeps, pets, friends, siblings, anything that makes you YOU!

CHECKLIST

Give yourself plenty of time to get ready....enjoy the day not feeling rushed.
Don't worry about anything facial like zits, we take care of those during our post-processing. Guys, you need to shave!
Pack any makeup and hair products before you leave.
Double check your outfits and undergarments, accessories & shoes.
Double check your props, equipment, and gear for activities & interests on your list.
Remember....your portraits aren't just about what you look like, their also about who you are.
Don't be afraid to make suggestions. Don't be afraid to try new things. Be yourself. Have Fun!
